Experimental Research Methods for Information Experience Design

My research sits at the intersection of experimental design and social sciences and use methods for conduting research that are similarly multi-disciplinary with a specialism in experimental visual and multimodal methods. Within the field of Information Experience Design I teach methods for research that combine art and design methods with those of social science so that students can collect information with participants by engaging them in methods that involve knowing through making. I also use these approaches to data collection and analysis in my own research. I have found that such methods are particularly good for including children in the research and design process of digital media.
